چکیده

We compute the hard photon production rate of a chemically non-equilibrated quark-gluon plasma. We assume that the plasma is already thermally equili-brated, i. e. describable by a temperature, but with a phase-space distribution that deviates from the Fermi/Bose distribution by a time dependent factor (fugacity). The photon spectrum is obtained by integrating the photon rate over the space-time evolution of the quark-gluon plasma. Some consequences for ultrarelativistic heavy ion collisions are discussed.

Parton Chemistry and Non-Equilibrium HTL Resummation

A partonic reball, possibly created in ultrarelativistic heavy ion collisions, will not be in equilibrium at least in its early stage. However, as indicated by transport models [1], thermalization might be achieved quickly. A complete chemical equilibration of the quarks and gluons, on the other hand, may never take place. The chemical evolution of the reball can be described by means of rate e...

Application of the Triangular Model in quantifying landfill gas emission from municipal solid wastes

Municipal solid waste landfills are significant parts of anthropogenic greenhouse gas emissions. The emission of significant amount of landfill gas has generated considerable interest in quantifying such emissions. The chemical composition of the organic constituents and potential amount of landfill gas that can be derived from the waste were determined. The chemical formulae for the rapidly bi...

Detection of Ultraweak Photon Emission (UPE) from Cells as a Tool for Pathological Studies

Objective: It is well-known that all living cells emit ultra-weak photon emission (UPE), which is due to byproducts of chemical reactions in cell metabolisms. It has been shown that Reactive Oxygen Species (ROS) in the cells enhances the UPE intensity. The magnitude of such UPE is extremely weak (i.e. a few to 103 photons/ (sec.cm2)), and the detection of such ultra-weak signals is hardly possi...

Spectral Module for Photon Monte Carlo Calculations in Hypersonic Nonequilibrium Radiation

In this paper, efficient spectral modules and random number databases are developed for atomic and diatomic species for use in photon Monte Carlo (PMC) modeling of hypersonic nonequilibrium flow radiation. To model nonequilibrium flow conditions, the quasisteady state assumption was used to generate electronic state populations of atomic and diatomic gas species in the databases. For atomic spe...
